Frequently Asked Questions

Most treatments involve minimal discomfort. Topical numbing agents and other comfort measures are used when appropriate to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Sensations vary depending on the treatment, but most patients describe them as very tolerable.
Downtime varies by treatment. Injectable treatments typically have little to no downtime, allowing most patients to return to normal activities the same day. Certain laser treatments may cause temporary redness, swelling, or sensitivity, which usually resolves within a few days. We’ll review expected recovery time with you in advance so you can plan accordingly.
Timing depends on the treatment. Botox and Dysport typically begin to take effect within 3–7 days, with full results visible around two weeks. Dermal fillers provide immediate visible results at the time of treatment, with minor settling over the following days. Laser treatments often deliver noticeable results shortly after treatment, with continued changes developing over the weeks to months that follow as the skin responds.
Results vary by treatment and individual response. Botox and Dysport generally last 3–4 months. Dermal fillers typically last between 6–18 months, depending on the product used and treatment area. Laser treatments provide long-lasting changes to skin quality, especially when combined with appropriate skincare and maintenance treatments.
Aesthetic treatments are considered elective and are therefore private pay. During your consultation, we’ll review treatment options, expected outcomes, and associated costs so you can make an informed decision.
