Dr. matthew roberts
Dr. Matthew Roberts is a dermatologist board-certified in both Canada and the United States, specializing in medical and aesthetic dermatology. He completed medical school at the University of Calgary, followed by Family Medicine Residency training through the University of Calgary. He worked as a family physician until 2019, when he returned to residency to specialize in dermatology at the University of British Columbia. After practicing in Prince George, BC, he returned to his hometown of Lethbridge in 2025 to co-found Nova Clinics, and is the Medical Director for Nova Dermatology & Advanced Aesthetics.
Dr. Roberts offers a range of non-insured and private pay services, including cosmetic Botox, medical Botox for hyperhidrosis, treatment of benign moles and growths (such as seborrheic keratoses, angiomas, and sebaceous hyperplasia), and cosmetic cyst removal. A referral is generally required for services covered by Alberta Health. No referral is required for cosmetic procedures.

Behind Nova's comprehensive model is a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, medical aestheticians, and administrative professionals - all working together with one shared mission: your health.
Medical Director of Nova Family Medical & Nova Wellness
Dr. Justin Steed has been caring for patients since 2016, bringing a rare combination of clinical depth and business acumen to his practice, holding both a Doctor of Medicine and a MBA from the University of Alberta. As a co-founder of Nova Clinics, his vision for integrated, physician-led care is rooted in something simple: taking the time to truly understand each person he works with, and helping them reach the health goals that matter most to them.
Outside the clinic, Justin is a dedicated father who can be found coaching youth basketball and football, or spending summer days on the water with his family.
